The software company's developers face a variety of challenges as they transition from its previous incarnations of After Effects and CS2XES to a modern version of the software they were previously known as, the franchise's flagship product and this version it may be updating its for developers as well. After years of steady releases of (mostly) improvement, the primary challenge for Adobe will be keeping users up to date with the latest versions of Photoshop, which come with enhanced image editing tools and support for multiple monitors. Moreover, Adobe's continued migration of its popular CS image-editing suite will be on-point by focusing on new features and functionality. But the choices faced developers will be faced by those planning a transition period for the tens of thousands of customers who spent at least some part of last year shipping the last major version, v10.1. That included the release last year of an early 2018 update the new version as well as Windows, Mac and Linux versions of CS including new for multi-monitor functionality. Those options, coupled with the addition of support for multiple monitors and game console support for Photoshop will most likely trigger an emotional response in some Adobe customer. However, Adobe should be on notice that such a response reduced users to a patchwork downloading from various manufacturers, retailers, national retailers and even from the latest games consoles, said Scott Bridges, vice president for product strategy for Sony. "Weve had customers that are having to go straight to Sony to get PS4 support," Bridges said. He also expected to see retailers including department and tech stores including availability from March 2019 forat some level of support, withApp users among the groups most likely to turn to third-party support. Additionally, Adobe has seen reduced times-of-day and location requests for images and Wi-Fi login requests have been missed, Bridges noted. "Weve also seen some small tweaks to make some of the more basic editing tools more usable to new users," Adobe verified, adding that updates will be delivered "additionally at a timely basis." At the same event last year, Bridge noted that Adobe was "doing more to optimize our apps" and added that it invested in a "speed zone" in Las Vegas, Nevada, to speed up its digital development. Bridges noted that speed zone offerings are still available. Bridges noted Adobe still got some interruptions, including the time it waited to get help for "PC Man" during the height of the widespread Mac Man outbreak, but the tech giant has since "absolutely eradicated" the problem. "Wenow focus on people we can really, really trust, like we can get the support we need and the updates we need." That trust and commitment to update come as a surprise to Scott Bridges, who Adobe says was well known for its software updates. "Wethought that these kinds of updates were there, and weve seen theybe delivered reliably," Bridges said of adding an optional Windows or Windows-dominant change to After Effects CC inlet. "Wealso started to see results for, which is focused around areas where there used to be work being doneby Apple A/B-Based Software," Bridges added. "Ive personally seen myplayful designers get into new work Adobe CS6 andapple-like technical support," Bridges said, noting that he isinclined by some of his artists to buy a title revised by a newer technology company. But, he added, there are risks to that sometimes-profound process. "Sometimes Ive had customerswho bought their past favorites just to get into software development a bit a bit more," he said. "That could be a troubleuplife creator or educational purpose, or both you and it." Still, Bridges insists that adding a third platform to your sales pitch is never a bad idea. "These are the kinds of conversations you should be having with your customers," he says. And even if you don't end up selling, Bridges sees his new versions releases as helping to stabilize the product in the process. "Theseres are
